WOMEN`S DAY CELEBRATION 2025

The theme this year in Cameroon: Accelerate Action- which calls for a new focus on driving gender equality and empowering women worldwide. This year`s focus is not just on acknowledging the progress made toward gender equality but also on recognizing the urgency of accelerating efforts to achieve true equality.

Summary of the work done

Building Together Cameroon went out of the box this year to commemorate the International Women Day by training young women on rising arts and bringing out their voices and telling their stories in drawing, which genuinely inspiring them. BTC celebrated the 40th IWD in a creative way.

Location of the project: CONFERENCE HALL AT AMIS DES JEUNES ETOUG EBE -YAOUNDE
Beneficiaries: 26 Young Women
Partners: Btc in collaboration with Betpawa funds
End results: The targeted group are young women who has hidden voices and scars that need to be voice out through arts work and drawing as was demonstrated on the workshop organized by BTC on the 8th of March 2025. This workshop also empowered them as most of them has gain skills that will enable them to generates incomes.
